Stun guns and Batons:

Stun guns are becoming a very popular means of self defense . Stun guns are extremely useful when the aggressors are already too close for you to run or get away. A Stun Gun uses a high voltage, low amperage electrical shock to bring an attacker to his knees . The metal prongs on the end of the devices deliver an intense shock when touched to an assailant . The high voltage low amperage of the gun gives you plenty of stopping power but will not permanently harm the attacker . You can choose stun guns with varying sizes and voltages. Stun guns can be disguised as soda cans, mobile phones, credit cards, cigars, flashlights and other objects you usually carry around. If you need extra reach length you can use a stun baton. You will have enough time to leave the area or even call the police while your attacker is paralyzed by muscle spasms.

It is important to check whether buying or carrying and using stun guns is legal in your state and/or country.

Pepper Sprays

The most common self-defense weapon is the pepper spray. It’s cheap, small and inflicts enough pain to take the attackers mind off of you. It is most commonly purchased in a pressurized bottle/tube form that starts as small as keychain pepper spray. You can also get pepper spray in many incognito containers like lipstick, pages, walking weights, and many others . You never have to worry about where to buy pepper spray because there are so many great online stores to buy it from. Remember however that police using pepper spray are given extensive training on how to use it effectively. There are many things that can reduce how effective pepper spray is, things such as wind or missing the face . This training is not always available to the general public. Police often use mace pepper spray with other back-up resources.

Tasers

Tasers are highly effective and can be used from a much longer range . It is said to combine injury reducing benefits of the traditional stun gun with a quantum leap in stopping power via new Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) technology. Studies have shown that the new Advanced Taser has a higher instant incapacitation rate than a 9mm hand gun. These new tasers shoot a long wire that has 2 barbs on the end of them, an electrical current travels over the wire into the attacker .
