Gorgeously styled rooms are a superb focal point

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Everyone would love to have their rooms as cool as those of the rich and famous, or the ones we watch on the telly. The sad truth is, not everyone is well to do, and not everyone is fortuitous enough to get a film crew in their home. Saying that everyone can have a beautifully designed room, provided they try hard enough and follow these tips and tricks to home decorating.

The 1st element you should work on is the central point in the room. This is the most significant and eye-catching piece in the room, the main feature. It should be the primary thing you look at in the room and something that is nice to look at. As an example, a nice chandelier or a large tapestry would be a superb focus point. Maybe you do not have a focus point in your house, you can make one by adding a pretty bookshelf or cabinet.

After you purchase wall papers and fabrics for your sofa in the room, you can choose matching beanbags .This lends the room a facelift, and makes it seem professional. Try to make the patterns varying sizes like large, medium and miniscule so that they go together wonderfully. Patterned designs also adds an element to the room. Ensure that you choose colors and patterns that are easy on the eye and that you like.

While its essential for a room to have color coordination, often having the same style in the whole room can be uninspiring. So try to change the style of the room in one area of the room, like the middle. If most of it matches, purchase another piece that is out of the theme. As an example, a contemporary coffee table in the middle of a traditional. A splash of colour in a creme room or a bunch of stripes in a plain room, anything can break the layout a tiny bit.

Coordinating style and function is critical. Locating wardrobes to store your items is important in every room. Corners that are tight for space should filled with a cabinet which will be contemporary and great to keep things in. You should put covers on tables so as to hide containers or newspapers. You might also purchase a pullout box to put under the bed to store ancient clothes, posters.

Sometimes its a blast to change the style a bit and make the style of a room fit for all seasons. You can decide to have two different sorts of pillow covers, the 1st one for the first six months of the year, and then second one for the 2nd 6 months. You could also get reversible drapes to switch every season. You can change focus points with the time of the year like sunflowers for June, fruits for Autumn, pine cones for December and potted lilies for Spring. Before I forget you can get these bean bags from bean bags uk

Lay Hands On The Perfect Elvis Costume To Suit The Occasion

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Every year my sister-n-law dresses her family in costumes for their annual family picture. Each time I believe that she has come up with the funniest dresses idea ever, she comes up with something even funnier. Her folks is terribly patient with her because they know how vital the family portrait is to her.

This last year, she dressed everybody up as Elvis Presley. Not everybody can find a good Elvis costume at a fair price, but my sister-in-law managed to find costumes for each one of her kids. She has three boys and a girl on the way.

Naturally, the baby-to-be didnot have an Elvis costume, but I wouldn’t be denied if my sister-in-law has one made for her girl as a newly born baby present. My nephews range in age from 2 years to 13 years old. The thirteen years of age was the most patient with his ma. He spent a pair afternoons purchasing an Elvis costume that would fit him. He let her slick back his hair into an oily 50′s style that would make him the gag of his class. He even struck a great Presley pose for the camera. My oldest nephew was a genuine sport for this picture. The two-year-old was a different story. Though my sister-in-law was capable of finding a baby Elvis costume that fit my two-year-old nephew completely, he didnot need to cooperate. He didn’t have enough hair, so they tried employing a wig.

Two the photos were wonderful, except the littlest boy was pulling his wig off his head. Iam not sure how often it took to get the picture right. My middle nephew was six when the pictures were taken. We were shocked to find that they couldn’t find an Elvis costume in his size. My sister-in-law doesn’t give up simply. She made one for him and she probably did it so well, that we couldn’t tell that this was a home made costume. The six-year-old did his best to make a great Presley face for the camera. After each member of the family was dressed in his Elvis costume, my job was to snap the ideal family portrait. This job was much more robust than making the costumes, especially with the tiny nephew pulling his wig off each two seconds. But after about 15 mins of wasting space on the electronic camera, we received the best shot of the 5 Elvis Presleys.
